DAAD In-Country/In-Region Programme Sub-Saharan Africa
The programme aims at fostering strong, internationally oriented higher education systems
Who can apply?
The target group for scholarships are graduates and postgraduates from Sub-Saharan Africa with a first academic degree if applying for a Master’s programme, or with a Master’s degree if applying for a doctoral programme who want to pursue Master’s or PhD courses in their home country (so called In-Country scholarships) or in another Sub-Saharan African country (In-Region scholarships).
Female applicants and candidates from less privileged regions or groups are especially encouraged to participate in the programme.Find further informations https://www2.daad.de/

A selection committee decides how to allocate traineeship grants depending on the project’s relevance, the objectives of the internship and research programmes of the candidate’s institute.Qualification:

Grants funded by Institut Pasteur International Division
Courses may cover subjects such as developmental biology, pathophysiology of infectious diseases, immunology, microbiology, epidemiology, food hygiene and safety, and quality control policy. Courses should build on the applicant’s initial training and contribute to strengthening his/her research skills.
If the study grant is accepted, the Institut Pasteur takes care of the living (1100 euros per month) and registration expenses. On the other hand, the Institut Pasteur does not pay for transport costs which stay chargeable to the candidate’s institute.

- Be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student at a university for the 2020-21 academic year
- Intend to be enrolled in or accepted as a full-time student in a Bachelors, Masters, or PhD program at an accredited university in Europe, Middle East or Africa for the 2021-2022 academic year
- Be studying computer science, computer engineering, or a closely related technical field
- Demonstrate a strong academic record
- Exemplify leadership and demonstrate a passion for improving representation of underrepresented groups in computer science and technology

France scholarships for non-EU applicants 2021
The Emile Boutmy Scholarship is awarded to top students whose profiles match the admissions priorities
To be eligible for the scholarship, students must be, first time applicants, from a non-European Union state, whose household does not file taxes within the European Union, and who have been admitted to the Undergraduate or Master’s programme.
Deadlines
Deadline for undergraduate programme: February 28, 2021. You must apply for the Emile Boutmy scholarship directly in your Sciences Po online application. Please note that no application for the scholarship sent by email will be accepted.

Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships for Foreign Scholars and Artists
The Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships are aimed at young researchers from abroad
Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS).

The 2020 Facebook Fellowship Summit
Supporting PhD students engaged in innovative research
The Facebook Fellowship is a global program designed to encourage and support promising doctoral students who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to computer science and engineering at an accredited university.
The program is open to students in any year of their PhD study. We also encourage people of diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply, especially those from traditionally under-represented minority groups. Applications are evaluated based on the strength of the student’s research statement, publication record and recommendation letters.
Winners of the Fellowship are entitled to receive two years of paid tuition and fees, a $42,000 annual stipend to cover living and conference travel costs, a paid visit to Facebook headquarters for the annual Fellowship Summit, and various opportunities to engage with Facebook researchers.
