The 2020 Facebook Fellowship Summit
Supporting PhD students engaged in innovative research
The Facebook Fellowship is a global program designed to encourage and support promising doctoral students who are engaged in innovative and relevant research in areas related to computer science and engineering at an accredited university.
The program is open to students in any year of their PhD study. We also encourage people of diverse backgrounds and experiences to apply, especially those from traditionally under-represented minority groups. Applications are evaluated based on the strength of the student’s research statement, publication record and recommendation letters.
Winners of the Fellowship are entitled to receive two years of paid tuition and fees, a $42,000 annual stipend to cover living and conference travel costs, a paid visit to Facebook headquarters for the annual Fellowship Summit, and various opportunities to engage with Facebook researchers.

Africa Centre of Excellence for water Management Addis Abeba
Call for Application for Students from African Countries other than Ethiopia. The Africa Center of Excellence for Water Management (ACEWM) is an initiative of the Government of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia and the World Bank Group and through the Eastern and Southern Africa (ESA) Regional Center hosted by the Addis Ababa University (AAU). Since 2016, ACEWM has been offering an interdisciplinary MSc and PhD programs in the field of water management, with the primary purpose of training the next generation of water educators, researchers, managers, and professionals and engaging in community outreach activities. Currently, ACEWM (www.acewm-aau.org) has several PhD and MSc students from all over Africa and some other countries.
ACEWM has established partnerships with different universities nationally, regionally and internationally to collaborate in capacity building, faculty and student exchanges, research and internships. Bourses de Master DAAD
Le DAAD a ouvert ce programme de bourses pour soutenir les pays en voie de développement dans la formation de ressources humaines qualifiées qui mettront leur savoir au service de leurs pays d’origine. Il veut former les futurs leaders dans les domaines-clés du développement. Il s’agit de filières bien sélectionnées dans lesquelles un nombre limité de bourses est proposé.
Ce programme de bourses est ouvert pour les jeunes travailleurs possédant un premier diplôme universitaire et ayant travaillé pour une durée minimale de deux ans. En général, ils aboutissent sur l’obtention d’un Master ou d’un PhD.
La durée de la bourse varie entre 12 et 24 mois.
Le délai de candidature est le 31 juillet.
