Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships
For Foreign Scholars and Artists for the 2025-2026 Academic Year
Each year the Swiss Confederation awards Government Excellence Scholarships to promote international exchange and research cooperation between Switzerland and over 180 other countries. Recipients are selected by the awarding body, the Federal Commission for Scholarships for Foreign Students (FCS).
Research scholarships
The research scholarship (research fellowship, PhD, Postdoc) is available to post-graduate researchers in any discipline (who hold a master’s degree is the minimum qualification required) who are planning to come to Switzerland to pursue research or further studies at doctoral or post-doctoral level.
Research scholarships are awarded for research or study at all Swiss cantonal universities, universities of applied sciences and the two federal institutes of technology, as well as the four research institutes. Only candidates nominated by an academic supervisor at one of these higher education institutions will be considered.
Art scholarships
Art scholarships are open to art students wishing to pursue an initial arts master’s degree in Switzerland.
Art scholarships are awarded for study at any Swiss conservatory or university of the arts. This scholarship is available to students from a limited number of countries only.You can find details of the Swiss Government Excellence Scholarships by following the link below

Youth Ambassador Program for Internet Society
Become an Internet Society’s Youth Ambassador!
Each year, the Internet Society chooses fifteen young, passionate people to participate in our Youth Ambassador Program, equipping the next generation of Internet leaders to collaborate and innovate for a better world.
Am I Eligible?
All applicants must:
- Be between the ages of 18-30 at the date of the submitted application
- Have a high level of reading, speaking and writing skills in English
- Be comfortable with public speaking and communicating positions
- Have continuous access to the Internet during all the phases of the program as well as the appropriate equipment
- Be able to dedicate a minimum of 4 hours per week during the full program duration
- Have the availability to take part in weekly meetings and webinars, usually between 11h and 16h UTC
- Be able to travel and hold a valid passport
- Not have been previously selected as an Internet Society’s IGF Ambassador, IGF Youth Ambassador, Youth@IGF Fellow, or Youth Ambassador

Applications for Commonwealth Master’s scholarships for the 2024/25 academic year are now open
The deadline for submitting an application is 17:00 hours BST (16:00 GMT) on 17 October 2023. The scholarships are for study in the UK beginning in September/October 2024.
Applicants are advised to complete and submit applications as early as possible, as the online application system will be very busy in the days leading up to the application deadline.
The CSC is unable to accept any applications or documentation not submitted via the online application system.

Chevening scholarship in Cameroon
Applications for 2024-2025 Chevening Scholarships are now open from 12 September 2023 to 7 November 2023
Chevening is the UK government’s international scholarships programme. Funded by the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office and partner organisations, we offer awards to study in the UK for one year on a fully funded master’s degree course.
Successful Chevening candidates come from a diverse range of countries and backgrounds, but they all demonstrate the passion, vision and skills needed to shape a better world.

World Bank Scholarships Program in 2024
The next windows for scholarship applications will open in January and March 2024.
The World Bank’s Development Economics Vice Presidency (DEC) provides scholarships to students and young researchers, contributing to the World Bank’s mission of forging new dynamic approaches to capacity development and knowledge sharing in the developing world.
Active Programs
- Joint Japan/World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program (JJWBGSP): Since 1987, JJWBGSP has enabled more than 6,000 mid-career professionals from 160 developing countries and Japan to complete graduate degrees in development-related fields. On an annual basis, the Government of Japan solely funds the JJWBGSP.
- Robert S. McNamara Fellowships Program (RSMFP): Since 1982, RSMFP has provided support to young researchers on a wide variety of topics in development-related fields. Currently, the program connects promising young researchers to World Bank research, data resources, and technical expertise. Selected fellows are hosted as a cohort at the World Bank in Washington D.C. and work on DEC research projects, receiving formal training and participating in policy relevant research.
Scholarships in Belgium Call 2024-2025
For the 2024-2025 academic year 200 scholarships await applicants
As a partner of Belgian Development Cooperation, ARES provides, for nationals of his 29 partners countries, scholarships for bachelor’s and master’s degree programmes, and continuing education courses in Belgium, which feature training that specifically addresses issues related to development.
One specialized bachelor’s degree programmes, ten specialised master’s degree programmes and six continuing education courses will be provided by Belgian higher education institutions in Belgium (EPHEC, ESA Saint-Luc Bruxelles, HE Vinci, ULB, UCLouvain, USL-B, ULiège, et UNamur).
Applications can be submitted and will be accepted through 17 November 2023 at 12pm.
ARES scholarships offer the chance to pursue a specialised bachelor’s or master’s degree programme lasting one year, or a 3-to-6-month continuing education course within a higher education institution of the Wallonia-Brussels Federation, in Belgium.

Eligibility criteria
- Candidates must be under 26 when they apply (must not have reached their 26th birthday)
- Candidates apply only once to the International Selection
- Candidates must not have lived in France more than 10 months during the academic year of the selection (September 1st – August 31st) nor the previous year.
- Candidates must justify at least one year of undergraduate studies awarded by a foreign university (outside France) during the calendar year preceding the start of applications.
- Candidates justify at least two years of undergraduate studies in a foreign university (outside France), on the 1st of September following admission.
On rare occasions, the Director of ENS may authorise applications from candidates whose academic background is non-standard.
